She graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and is a well-known actress and singer in Hong Kong, China. Her acting career began in 1990 with the release of the drama film "Temple Street Queen," which earned her the Best Supporting Actress and Best Newcomer awards at the 10th Hong Kong Film Awards and a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the 27th Golden Horse Awards in Taiwan. She went on to win the 16th Hong Kong Top 10 Chinese Gold Song Bronze Award in 1993, and gained further attention for her roles in the 1997 martial arts drama "The Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils" and the 2002 costume drama "Safe Guards."
