The new chief of the ED Neeta Devi is on scene and gets mildly injured when a worker falls while working on wires, also causing an electrocution and car crash. Bash disagrees with Devi over a patient with DID, as she keeps putting rules over his pragmatic defense of patient interest, and is told unlike Bishop, she won't support him being instated as regular surgeon. Theo returns to the ED after the helicopter crash he was involved in at the end of season 2, but finds it hard to readjust and deal with 'escape luck guilt'. Mags must still adjust to her more senior position in cardiology.
